Select The Year Of Your Vehicle Below
The Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV that Honda has sold since 1999. It spans three model generations and was introduced in the US market in 2015. The name “HR-V” stands for “Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle”. The first run of the HR-V was in Europe and Asia-Pacific, where it was based on Honda’s supermini the Honda Logo. In 2006, production of the HR-V took a seven-year hiatus. When it returned in 2013, it was marketed as the Honda Vezel in Japan. It was then the smallest Honda SUV, below the CR-V.
With the 2016 model year, the Honda HR-V sold in the US was powered by a 1.8-liter SOHC i-VTEC I4 engine. Two transmission options were available, a seven-speed CVT or a six-speed manual. Max output for the small SUV was 141 hp while max torque was 127 pound-feet. Fuel economy was great, yielding 34 mpg highway. The base LX trim came with six-speaker audio, USB connectivity, cruise control, and a rear-view camera.
The 2024 Honda HR-V is a third-generation model. It’s a sensible entry-level SUV, starting at $25,950. Three trim levels are available, which include LX, Sport, and EX-L. The mid-priced HR-V Sport comes with the largest wheels, 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels. It still has a six-speaker audio, but now comes with a 7-inch color touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and HondaLink.
