Debuting for the 2014 model year, the Acura RLX is a midsize luxury sedan that succeeded the Acura RL as the brand’s flagship car. During its launch, you could also choose a hybrid version. The standard Acura RLX was equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 310 hp and 272 pound-feet of torque. If you wanted a luxury sedan with better gas mileage and performance, the hybrid option was a reasonable choice. The Acura RLX hybrid came with a 3.5-liter hybrid V6 with a peak output of 377 hp and 341 pound-feet of torque.
The Acura TLX became the company’s flagship after the RLX exited with the 2020 model year. Even if it was discontinued, the RLX was good on gas and was equipped with Acura’s latest features. The 2020 Acura RLX was rated at 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, for a combined fuel economy of 23 mpg. And the hybrid model had a combined rating of 28 mpg. What Is the Acura RLX Technology Package?
The Technology Package included speed-sensing rain-detecting wipers with heated wiper park, noise-reducing acoustic glass, noise-reducing wheels, Milano premium leather seat trim, multi-zone voice-activated air-conditioning with GPS, and the Acura/ELS premium 14-speaker sound system, among other features.
Does the Acura RLX Have Ambient Lighting?
Inside the RLX, the interior lighting features were complemented by low-level interior cabin lighting. This ambient lighting from the ceiling illuminates the front center console and rear armrest. Outside, the RLX also came with JewelEye LED headlights with five lights per headlight, improving visibility when compared to HID and halogen counterparts.
